Phases of rehab care at IRPC
Phase 1: Pain and Orientation
In phase 1, we focus on addressing the site of pain to get you feeling better as quickly as possible. As we attack your pain, we also begin chipping away at the true root cause of your pain. Treatment includes…
Chiropractic exam and adjustments of the spine and extremities.
Soft tissue treatment of tight and painful muscles.
Assessment and treatment of nervous tissue such as entrapped nerves and other nervous system tension.
Corrective exercises improving spinal, ribcage, and pelvis mobility and biomechanic position.
Nutrition and inflammation counseling.
Phase 2: Increasing Load and Improving Mobility
In phase 2, the patient is mostly out of pain and we are able to truly attack the root cause of the pain. The initial evaluation gives us a clear since of what led to the injury or pain, and what will keep you coming back with pain if not addressed. Here we can progress after improving rib-cage, pelvic, and spinal mobility and core control to specifically addressing asymmetries and glaring mobility deficits.
The exercises and drills used in this phase are extremely specific to YOUR presentation and body. Treatment tools include…

I cannot recommend Dr. Nick enough! I came in with 1.5 years of knee pain that inhibited my everyday mobility, whether it was having to use the railing to walk up the stairs or feeling highly unstable while going on walks. We went through a variety of tests to help diagnose the root causes of my knee pain and used these results to inform the structure of our sessions.
I appreciate how there is a distinct "why" behind each exercise and recommendation - my sessions felt highly tailored (because they were). Dr. Nick was patient with my many questions and was able to articulate the answers clearly to someone like myself without a medical background.
I've gone to physical therapy before for my knee pain and left feeling largely unseen and unheard. My experience with Dr. Nick was the complete opposite - holistic and empathetic. This translates to the physical results. Beforehand, my daily knee pain averaged a 6 - 7 on a scale of 1 - 10. Now, it averages at a 0 - 1.
